Cody wakes up, but cannot find the souvenir necklace given to him by Big Z. Lani rescues him and takes him to her uncle, "Geek", to help Cody recover from his injuries. Tank wins the duel while Cody nearly drowns and is stung by a sea urchin named Ivan. Cody sees Tank vandalizing Big Z's memorial and immediately challenges him to a surfing duel. He also meets the contest's arrogant champion, Tank "The Shredder" Evans, who has won the Big Z Memorial nine times since it was first held after Z's presumed death during a previous match ten years ago. The entrants arrive at Pen-Gu Island, where Cody meets and immediately falls in love with Lani Aliikai, a female gentoo penguin who is a lifeguard. En route to the contest, Cody befriends another entrant, Chicken Joe, a friendly but dim-witted rooster surfer from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. When a talent scout shorebird named Michael Abromowitz arrives to find entrants for the Big Z Memorial surfing contest on Pen-Gu Island, Cody jumps at the chance. In a mockumentary, northern rockhopper penguin Cody Maverick, living in Shiverpool, Antarctica, with his mother Edna and his older brother Glen, has yearned to be a professional surfer ever since meeting the famous surfer Big Z many years ago. A sequel, titled Surf's Up 2: WaveMania, was released direct-to-video in the United States on January 17, 2017, and theatrical in select countries. It was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 80th Academy Awards. The film grossed $152 million worldwide against a budget of $100 million. Surf's Up was released in the United States on June 8, 2007, by Sony Pictures Releasing, and received generally positive reviews from critics, with praise for the animation and humor. To obtain the desired hand-held documentary feel, the film's animation team motion-captured a physical camera operator's moves. Real-life surfers Kelly Slater and Rob Machado have vignettes as their penguin surfer counterparts. It is a parody of surfing documentaries, such as The Endless Summer and Riding Giants, with parts of the plot parodying North Shore. The film stars the voices of Shia LaBeouf, Jeff Bridges, Zooey Deschanel, Jon Heder, and James Woods. It was directed by Ash Brannon and Chris Buck (in the former's feature directorial debut) from a screenplay they co-wrote with Don Rhymer and Chris Jenkins, based on a story by Jenkins and Christian Darren. Surf's Up is a 2007 American animated mockumentary comedy film produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. The last plate or chair added to the stack is usually the first one removed when an item is needed. A stack is analogous to a stack of physical objects, for example a stack of plates or chairs. These characteristics are what give these structures their name. Queues are the opposite, being First In First Out (FIFO) constructs. Stacks are Last in First Out (LIFO) constructs. Both are a sequenced collection of elements that are generally accessed one element at time, and are implemented using similar data structures. Stacks and queues are similar and complementary in many ways. In order to crack the questions above and others like them, you’ll need to have a strong understanding of stacks and queues and how they work. Unfortunately, few hours later this mod, I discovered that this method cannot manage at all the voltage glitches coming out the piezo, and this have an impact on the entire circuit and affect the execution of the firmware AND MOST OF ALL, THESE GLITCHES SOMEHOW TRIGGERS SPORADICALLY AND RANDOMLY THE PIN 14 (the "stop" pin)! I fear that this is caused by the glitches that randomly affect the linear regulator that generates the 5V used also to read the state of the "stop" pin, and this is confirmed by a DSO trace that I've captured during a long running in "one shot" mode. So I tried to use a small mosfet to drive a high volume 12V piezo (Kingstate KPEG-276 A) with two 10V zener in push-pull, and apparently it seemed to work fine. I need something that could reach at least 92dB at 0,5M. I guess that any 5V squarewave drived piezo is too quiet. I need to add some "power" to the "ticking" sound. Only the sound is a little problematic: it is too quiet. Now, all the firmware is done and functional, and also the hardware works good. The main feature that I've keep in mind in this device is that it must have low current consumption, because is battery operated and must work for 24 hours, so both for the KISS and for the current consumption, I can't use an 1W audio amplifier circuit driven by the square wave only to make sound a traditional loudspeaker! So I've used a traditional piezo buzzer. This device must be produced in a small series, so I've keeped in mind the KISS concept, making it easy to assemble, cheap and using the lowest number of component possible. It have a software trigger that stops the count when a pin (say pin 14) goes LOW (TTL, 0V). Quote from: mcinque on March 23, 2014, 10:54:10 pm I've designed a battery powered, 24 hours ATMEGA328P MCU based LCD start/stop timer that during counting, ticks every second with a short but STRONG "beep" sound that is being generated by the Tone library (1KHz 50mS 5V squarewave). What do you suggest to do in hardware to drive the piezo and produce a loud sound without affecting the circuitry and the MCU behaviour? Do you agree using a transistor instead a mosfet? Or what else? Can you suggest a schematic of your solution? But I must accept that with a cheap 5V buzzer I've got no problems at all. Of course this is strange to me, because if it's a bad engineered circuitry issue, it should happen always, and not randomly. I've designed a battery powered, 24 hours ATMEGA328P MCU based LCD start/stop timer that during counting, ticks every second with a short but STRONG "beep" sound that is being generated by the Tone library (1KHz 50mS 5V squarewave). And IT will be well aware that you just dumped 10000 files into a directory, although hopefully they think you're just pulling git clones and don't go further. I've never seen anyone mention the fact that your entire life of notes (whatever they may be) are now completely plain-text (well, markdown) files accessible to anyone with access to your machine. People talk about encrypting their vaults and everything else all the time. I use Obsidian and one thing I'm not getting about peoples concerns with e2e encryption - does nobody realize once it's decrypted on the devices you use (work laptops, etc since it's your ubiquitous note taking app) that anyone with access to your laptop (IT) has full access to every single. It can do a lot more that I haven't looked into yet (some kind of graph search I think?), but that alone is a total game changer for me. With Roam I don't have to do any of that, as it's just a graph, I just dump things in my Daily Notes, add a bunch of hashtags, and it'll show up on all the hashtag pages and in search. It's very fast (they do lots of things in the local browser, I think), plus I've never been able to work with categories or folders, everytime I try I quickly end up with such a lot of categories that they're not really useful anymore, and I find myself wasting time and energy figuring out the best category for a particular item, and then I still don't find it again. I'm using Roam and quite happy, though I'm growing kind of frustrated that it's pretty much impossible to get anything in there quickly on an iPhone other than opening Roam in Safari, waiting for the spinner to finish, then paste, and an iOS Shortcuts workflow on their site that's broken.īut other than that, it's the first notes app that really clicks for me. That's why it's super important that every note-taking / productivity app has an API, so users can easily build the workflow with the apps that work best for them. Even though Notion has kinda done this, very successfully, one could argue that it is a 'Jack of all trades, master of none' app. There are so many apps for different personalities and workflows – there's never 'one solution fits all'. Note-taking is very personal and so everyone has different expectations on what they'd like. Developing this as a team of two is very difficult but then hearing how some users use your app every day for a year and can't live without it is hugely rewarding Build a desktop app, and then users want a fluid accessible web experience. Build a web app, then all of your users want a faster native desktop app. Ubiquity and having your knowledge accessible at any time, on all of your devices is super important – but also the most challenging to create. Much of what you've said is concurrent with the majority of our users. Instead I'd like to share a little what I've learnt from building a note-taking startup for the past three years with my co-founder – it's easily the hardest thing we've both done. Haha let me rattle on about my own note-taking setup (or indeed my own Startup). I'm an Emacs person, I've written a couple thousand lines of elisp, and I have never, ever been able to get into org mode. I'm interested to see if anybody comes up with something macOS-supported that outdoes Bear. So, Notes and Bear.app are my two recommendations. I had Bear.app for awhile and was initially skeptical of it, but it has now replaced Notes.app for me it's a better writing environment, it has sticky notes (pinned to the top of the note list) which turn out to be really valuable, does native Markdown, and search and sync work reliably on my laptop and phone. I can drag screenshots of lecture videos in and write short sentences about them. I don't have to think about what I'm writing or how it fits into the scheme of things because I'm guaranteed to be able to find things with search. It's honestly pretty great it's frustratingly good, in fact, because it doesn't feel much better to use than does TextEdit. What I've found actually matters for my day-to-day and gets me to actually take lots of notes, though, is just (1) search and (2) sync - I need my notes mirrored onto my phone.įor several years I just use Apple's Notes.app. There's a lot of things people tend to want from note-taking setups: easy entry, navigation and organization, wiki-like linkages, export to various formats, encryption. This is going to be one of those threads where everyone rattles off their own note-taking setup, which is great and all. Apply the Linking behavior to make parameters for one object animate related objects.Create an accurate chroma key in a single step with the new Keying filter.Track a moving object in a video clip with the point tracking and match move feature.Enhance your 2D or 3D animations with more than 130 filters using the FxPlug 2 standard.Choose from more than 230 behaviors for natural-looking motion without programming.Ripple text one character, word, or line at a time with the Sequence Text behavior.Move, scale, or rotate a single character with the Adjust Glyph tool.Build a credit roll by importing a text file the Scroll behavior optimizes the speed for you.
